Taylor is a retired 30 year teacher, school co-founder, a former professional athlete and two-time NCAA National Champion. Today, in his second career, he uses the same hard work, teamwork and strategic thinking to help his clients achieve their real estate goals.
While playing varsity men's lacrosse at Princeton University, Taylor was a member of two National Championship Teams, and he earned All-America, All-Ivy, and Scholar All-America honors. Taylor continued to play competitively after college in two professional lacrosse leagues as well as for the German National Team, with whom he won the European Championships and represented his country of birth in the World Lacrosse Games.
After graduating college, Taylor fell in love with the Lake Tahoe area on a road trip, so much so that he dreamt of living here someday. When he received a graduate degree from Brown University nearly a decade later, he returned to the West, landed his “dream” teaching job in Tahoe and never left. As an educator, Taylor worked in the best interests of students for 30 years. For the last 15 years of his career, Taylor was a co-founder, teacher and leader for a new Pk-12th grade school in Tahoe/Truckee that uses adventure to build character and bring learning to life.
In his personal life, Taylor was lucky to meet and marry a Northern Californian, who grew up visiting Tahoe often and also dreamt of living here. They committed their vows on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe in 2013. Together, they have owned multiple homes in the area and are happily raising two boys, two dogs, and a cat on a rural property 20 minutes north of Truckee. All of them enjoy the adventurous spirits who live here and the incredible activities that abound.
Taylor volunteers each year for the Princeton University Alumni organization as an interviewer for admissions. He also continues to work with young people as a volunteer coach for the Truckee Tribe Lacrosse and the Reno Avalanche Lacrosse Clubs, where he is excited to share his expertise and love of the game with local players and work alongside amazing parents who run these robust, community-oriented programs.
As a non-profit leader in education for decades, Taylor serves on the Advisory Board of Trustees for Sierra Nevada Journeys, an incredible program located in Northern California that serves over 10,000 students per year to help them engage with experiential learning, environmental stewardship and character building through adventure.
Last winter, I was fortunate to work with a family to purchase this beautiful, ski-in ski-out townhome in Mountainside. It was perfect timing, as one of our spring storms hit right after closing, and the family got to enjoy Northstar for some of the best skiing and riding of the year, right out of their back door.

This summer, I helped my client acquire this amazing property in Kings Beach, just two blocks from Lake Tahoe and with immediate access to some of the best biking, hiking and backcountry skiing in the entire Basin. The cabin has tons of potential and the lot has enough space to add an ADU for additional rental income. It was an honor to make this deal happen.
I met these clients from a call into our Northstar Village Office just before the Holidays. I spoke with the husband for about 30 mins, and it was clear we hit it off.
We met up a few days later to check out some properties and, after some serious negotiation, landed this preeminent mid-mountain townhome in Mountainside just in time for winter. It was a pleasure working with these clients to help them realize their real estate goals.
